Description

This is a house, likely dating to the 16th century or earlier, with a western wing and 20th-century extensions to the rear and an extension to the east built around 1960. The western wing is timber-framed and roughcast, featuring a steeply-pitched roof covered in old red tiles, hipped with gablets. The eastern extension is similar, also with half-timbering. The house has two storeys with 3- and 4-light flush wooden casement windows. The western wing appears to be a cross-wing of a larger house that originally extended eastward. The south-facing side of the western wing is boldly jettied, with a chamfered knee bracket at each end. An external red brick lateral chimney has been rebuilt on the west side. The front of the house has three windows, with a battened door leading into the lower part of the western wing and a gabled, two-storey, half-timbered projection to the right.
