Description

Nos 37, 39, and 41 on Hockerill Street are probably from the 17th century. They have a timber frame with modern roughcast and rendering, topped with an old red tile roof. The buildings are two storeys high and feature modern sash and casement windows. The central gabled section projects on posts over the pavement. No 41 has a late 19th-century double projecting shop front with modern glazing, while the other shops have been modernized. These buildings are included for their group value.
