Description

This thatched building, located at the south side of the junction with High Wych Lane, is a house that has been converted into offices. It dates from the 17th century or early 18th century and is a very long single-storey structure. The building features a timber frame that is plastered on a tarred base, topped with a gabled thatched roof that has a scalloped ridge. There is a large central chimney situated one room from the south end, along with an external gable chimney on the south side and three small central chimneys. The building has six casement windows and a central plank door, all of which have been renewed. It is likely that this was originally a row of small houses, which have since been altered for office use, including changes to the interior and the removal of the floor. The building is included for its group value.
