Description

Hillside is a house located on a hillside above the road opposite the Almshouses in Standon. It dates from the late 17th century and has been altered. The building is two storeys high with a steeply-pitched tiled roof and consists of three bays. The northern front features painted brick at the bottom and roughcast above, with boxed eaves. The southern front is plastered and includes a slate-roofed verandah on the ground floor. The eastern front is weatherboarded. The windows are a mix of sash and casement types, set in flush moulded frames, with some located under segmental arches.
