Description
Douro House is a house dating from the late 17th century with a front made of 18th-century brick and a rear wall of 19th-century brick. It features timber-framed weatherboarded outbuildings at the back and has old red tiled roofs. The house is two storeys high and has a front that is three windows long, constructed from red and blue brick, with a floor band and brick modillion eaves. The sash windows are slightly recessed in moulded frames and sit under flat gauged arches. There is a central fielded-panel door accessed by two steps, set within a moulded doorcase that has a moulded hood supported by brackets. The south gable has brick parapet coping. The rear wall is made of 19th-century red brick, which is continuous with No 66. The outbuildings have steep tiled roofs built using queen-strut construction.
