Description
The stable at Great Barwick Farm, located 30 meters to the northeast of the house, dates from the early 18th century and is now used as a garage and store. It features a timber frame set on a brick sill, with weatherboarding and a hipped thatched roof. The building is single-storey and consists of six bays, with a thatched gabled projection in the middle of the north side. The roof is constructed with clasped purlins, long slender curved queen struts, and curved braces to the tie-beams. There is a continuous ventilation gap under the eaves overhang, which is protected by laths. The stable door is located on the south side, and the west end is open.
