Description
The South Barn at Hamels Park Farm, located 80 meters south of the farmhouse, is a barn dating from the 16th century. The roof was rebuilt to a 45-degree pitch in the 19th century. It features a timber frame that is weatherboarded on a red brick sill and has a slate roof. The barn consists of seven bays and has double doors in the middle bay on the north side. It includes heavy jowled posts and curved braces supporting the tie beams and wallplate, showcasing heavy timbering. This barn is part of a group with the Hamels stable block.
