Description
The West Barn at Levens Green Farm, located 15 meters to the west of the house, is a 17th-century barn with a 19th-century shelter shed attached at the southern end. The barn features a timber frame that is dark weatherboarded on red brick sills. It has a steeply pitched roof covered with corrugated iron, while the shelter shed has a slate roof. This long, narrow barn faces east and encloses a courtyard, with a gabled porch on the west side. The shelter shed is aligned to the south and has an open front with four bays facing east. Inside, the barn has a side-purlin roof, with one high-set purlin on each slope, and it includes 19th-century windows with rounded corners on the north gable facing the lane.
