Description
Camps Farm is a farmhouse that dates from the late 17th century, with a northern wing added in the early 18th century and renovations made in the 19th century. The building features a timber frame that is roughcast, with the southern gable of the northern wing weatherboarded. It has steep old red tile roofs and is a narrow two-storey structure facing west, with a deeper and taller two-storey parlour wing to the north and a single-storey lean-to kitchen to the south, closest to the road. There is a central chimney in the northern wing where it connects to the main range, and an internal gable chimney at the south end. The layout is a three-unit plan with irregular window placements. It includes 19th-century two-light flush casement windows, two rectangular bay windows on the west side, and a projecting hipped porch at the angle of the wings. On the eastern side of the northern block, there is a flush box sash window. Inside, the farmhouse features exposed wall-plates and tie-beams.
