Description

These are two houses dating from the 17th century, which were later re-faced in the early 19th century. They are constructed of white brick with red brick dressings laid in alternating courses, and have a new tiled roof. The houses each have two windows and three large gabled dormers. A central doorway is present, with No. 51 featuring a 4-panel door and fanlight recessed under a slightly segmental arch. No. 49 has a recessed sash window also under a segmental arch; a large sashed dormer sits above it, featuring a bargeboarded gable and wood panelling beside the window. No. 51 has a smaller, similar dormer above the door, alongside another dormer over a small canted bay window with sashes and panelling.
