Description
Nos 45 and 47 High Street are two houses that date back to the 17th century but were refaced in the 19th century. They feature a timber frame that is plastered, with the front faced in white brick and red brick dressings. The houses have a tiled roof and are two storeys high, with three windows in total. A central brick chimney stack is present.
No 45 has a recessed sash window above with 6/6 panes, which is set under a flat red brick arch. Below, there is a panelled door and an adjacent sash window, both of which are also under a continuous flat red brick arch. No 47 features two similar sash windows with 6/6 panes above, a glazed and panelled door below that has a flat hood on moulded brackets, and a canted bay window topped with a dentilled cornice and a flat leaded roof.
