Description
The stable block at Corneybury, now converted into two houses, dates from the 18th century, with rear extensions added in the late 19th century. It is constructed of light red brick and features a steep old red tile roof. The building is symmetrical and consists of two storeys, facing west. It has a full-height central round-arched carriageway and three windows on each floor on either side. There is a floor band and a plinth. The central upper window is blank, while the right-hand window includes a clock face. The windows are small-paned casements with two lights. Inside the carriageway, the clasped-purlin roof is exposed, and the left-hand wall is weatherboarded, extending over the two-storey rear parallel extension from the 19th century. Additionally, there is a lower lean-to rear extension on the right-hand side.
