Description

The Enever Monument is a tomb chest located in St Mary's churchyard, 8 meters south of the chancel in Westmill village. It dates from the early 19th century and commemorates Judith Enever, who died in 1811, William Enever, who died in 1838, and his second wife. The monument is made of limestone and features a rectangular shape on a raised curb with a moulded base. Each face has a rectangular panel that includes an inscribed oval and a fan pattern in the spandrels. At each corner, there is an inset fluted Greek Doric column. The top slab is rectangular and projects, with reeded edges.
