Description
This property comprises three semi-detached houses, now shops with flats above, dating from the mid-19th century, with alterations in the 20th century. The houses are constructed of brown-grey stock brick in a Flemish bond, with stucco dressings. The roof is hipped and covered in Welsh slate, featuring a bold cornice with a lower moulded band, shallow double and single modillions on numbers 67 and 69 only, a broad overhang, and a moulded upper cornice concealing a gutter. A central chimney stack has long, orange clay pots.
The exterior has three storeys and a basement (with access at the rear ground level). The first floor has five bays and two windows, with a recessed central bay and replacement aluminium sashes on the left. The remaining windows are recessed 12-pane sashes with stucco lintels, raised on stucco blocking pieces and cornices. The ground floor houses two 20th-century shopfronts.
To the right, a two-storey stuccoed link connects the property to number 83, featuring a ground-floor carriageway with a segmental arch containing a projecting keyblock, twin leaf boarded doors, a deep fascia, and a first-floor balcony with cast-iron raised detail. A second carriageway is located on the left, originally similar, but an adjacent wing was rebuilt forward, eliminating the balcony. The rear elevation is plain, with four bays and 12-pane sash windows, with replacement windows in number 67. These windows are set within segmental, cambered arches constructed of rubbed brick.
The interior has not been inspected. The property forms part of a group with number 61.
