Description
This is a house, later used as offices, dating to 1801. It has undergone alterations in the 20th century. The exterior is stuccoed over brickwork, with colour-washed brickwork to the sides, porch, and a Welsh slate roof. The building follows a central staircase plan.
The front elevation features two recessed sash windows with glazing bars on both the ground and first floors, and a plat band below the first-floor windows. A central porch has stone slabs, a keyblock inscribed with the date 1801, a flat roof, and a balustrade surround with vase balusters. The porch contains a 20th-century five-panel door. A stone sundial, engraved with lines and numerals and featuring an iron gnomon, is set high in the centre of the facade, likely having been repositioned. The rear elevation has a gabled roof and two first-floor sash windows with glazing bars. It also has a single ground-floor sash window with glazing bars, a 20th-century glazed door, and a single-storey lean-to with a Welsh slate roof.
The interior was largely rebuilt in the 1970s. The building is set back in a yard behind shops, accessed through a 20th-century carriageway at the street frontage.
