Description
The Priory Rooms to Friends Meeting House is a women's meeting house built in 1738, which has since been altered and partially demolished for road widening in 1932, resulting in the facade being set back by one bay. The building is constructed of red brick laid in Flemish bond and features double-hipped old tiled roofs that are set back behind a parapet front.
On the exterior, there are two three-light casement windows at the front, a three-light casement window at the side, and a two-light casement window at the rear, all of which have leaded glazing. A reset 18th-century six-panel door, with the upper two panels glazed, is located in a 20th-century projecting flat-roofed porch on the south side. The interior has had its panelling and furnishings removed in the early 20th century, and the interior was not inspected.
