Description
No. 11 Burns Green is a house that dates from the 16th century or earlier. It has a timber frame and is roughcast with a steep old red tile roof that is half-hipped and features gablets. The house is one and a half storeys tall and has a three-cell layout, facing south. It includes an end-jetty at the eastern end and a central chimney located in the rear roof slope, a third of the way from the western end. There is also a later external gable chimney built against the jettied eastern end. An open gabled porch leads into the eastern part of the house, flanked by two small casement windows with two lights each, and there is a three-light window to the left. The eastern end has a two-light window on each floor, and a dripboard connects the ends of the wall plates.
