Description
No. 44 Burns Green is a late 18th-century building that originally comprised two houses but has since been converted into one. It features a timber frame set on a stucco plinth, with weatherboarding and a steep hipped roof made of old red tiles. The building has a red brick central chimney that was previously shared between the two houses. It is two storeys high and faces east, with one window on each floor of both houses and doors located near the outer corners of the ground floor. The southern house still has its original door and a dripboard supported by shaped brackets. The windows include 3-light 19th-century flush casements, with a ground floor window from the northern house reused in the upper floor of a matching extension that has boarded garage doors below. There is also a 20th-century bow window in the center and 2-light flush cast iron casement windows with small panes on the southern end.
