Description
Graves Wood Cottages are two houses dating from the 17th century or early 18th century. They feature a timber frame that is plastered, topped with a steep old red tile roof that was formerly thatched. The cottages share a central red brick chimney and are one and a half storeys high, facing south. Each house has two gabled dormers and two windows below, along with a central door. The ground floor includes two-light casement windows that are set flush and have small hoods above them. The doors are made of planks and have a lozenge-shaped opening, also with small hoods supported by brackets. The cottages were previously known as Thatch Cottages before a fire in the late 20th century.
