Description

Old Forge Cottage is a house from the early 19th century. It has a timber frame and is covered in white weatherboarding, topped with a pyramidal hipped roof made of Welsh slate. The cottage is a single storey and faces north, featuring a paved forecourt enclosed by a picket fence that leads to the road. The front of the house is symmetrical, with a central six-panel fielded door surrounded by a simple frame. On either side of the door are flush box sash windows, each with twelve small panes. There are two additional similar box sash windows on each side of the cottage, but these have six panes each. An internal chimney is located on the right side wall, and there is a rear entrance on the left that connects to Old Forge House.
