Description

The gatepiers at Upp Hall, located 40 meters to the west of the mansion, date back to the 17th century. They are constructed of red brick with stone dressings and feature ball finial caps. The piers are tall and slender, square in shape with rebated corners, and exhibit rustication. They have moulded stone and brick plinths, as well as moulded stone caps that support large ball finials with a high ogee square base. These gatepiers mark the west entrance to the forecourt of the mansion.
