Description
Castle Farmhouse is a building that dates back to the 16th century or earlier and features a timber frame. The exterior has been modern rendered and is topped with an old red tile roof. The farmhouse is two storeys high and includes a modern door and windows, along with a modern cross wing on the south side. Inside, there are several bays of heavy oak timber frame. To the north, there is a 17th-century barn that is weatherboarded and has a corrugated iron roof. This barn is an important feature located at the junction of Thorley Lane and Great Hadham Road.
