Description
The granary at Wakeley Farm, located 15 meters northwest of the farmhouse, dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It features coursed flint walls with red brick quoining and decorative brick dressings around the openings. The roof is now covered with corrugated iron. This Gothic-style granary has its main elevation facing south towards the farmhouse. The central entrance consists of a plank door surrounded by a toothed brick surround. Above the door is a two-centred pointed arched window, flanked by small pointed-headed slits and a pigeons' alighting board. Inside, there is a raised floor with segmental arched openings on the ground level beneath the floor. Bins for storing corn remain on both the ground and first floors. Additionally, there are small windows under the eaves on the west and east sides.
