Description

This 18th-century barn is located about 15 meters west-southwest of Stockings in Little Berkhamsted. It features a timber frame resting on a brick base and is weatherboarded with a tiled roof. The barn consists of three bays and has a central gabled midstrey facing the yard, which includes large double doors. There are lean-to additions on either side and a central door at the rear. Inside, the structure has braces connecting the posts to the tie beams, queen struts supporting the principals, collars clasping the purlins, and additional braces in the walling.
