Description

This is an early to mid-18th century house, originally a farmhouse, with extensions added in the 19th century and further alterations and extensions in the mid-20th century. The house is built of red brick with a tiled roof and has three bays. It is two storeys high with attics. The ground floor features a central projecting entrance porch and flanking canted bay windows, all dating from the 20th century. A plat band runs along the first floor, above which are 3, 2, and 3-light flush frame casement windows with cambered heads, also from the 20th century. The eaves are boxed and there are three flat-topped dormers in the roof. Internal stacks are present. The gable ends have parapets with kneelers. The right-hand end has first-floor and attic windows. A 19th-century wing extends to the rear left, characterized by dentilled brick eaves and a rear gable end stack. 20th-century extensions to the rear right and left end are not of special architectural interest. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included on the list for its group value.
