Farmhouse. Early C18, marked as Old Farm on estate map of 1758 (HRO), altered early C19, and in later C19 for second son of Clinton-Baker Lords of the Manor. Red brick and slate roofs with parapets. Red tiles to open timber porch. 2-storeys, attics and cellar, double-pile rectangular house facing S with 1½-storeys LH extension. Front has twin canted bay windows, porch to entrance in middle, segmental arches to recessed sash windows on 1st floor with 2/2 large panes, 3 box dormers on the roofslope, 6-panels moulded door with fanlight, and end-chimneys to the 2 parallel pitched roofs. This M-roof shows on RH end which has a central entrance giving onto stairs and serving the kitchen in rear RH corner of house plan, with old dresser built in. W wall of old house has an early C18 slightly recessed single-light transomed window now exposed in the extension, closed string stair with turned balusters and heavy square newels serving the attic, ovolo-panelled room with contemporary C18 fireplace on 1st floor in SE room, and similar panelling, cupboards and doors with IL hinges in other 1st floor rooms. Ground floor interior elaborately remodelled in later C19. Fire insurance plaque in house with clasped hands and number 79373.
