Description

The Paltock Monument, located in St Mary's churchyard in Braughing village, dates from around 1739. It is made of white freestone and features a short obelisk topped with an armorial achievement carved in relief. The monument is raised on a large square plinth that has a moulded base and cap. It includes well-cut inscriptions on the south and east faces, with panelled vertical corners. The monument stands approximately 3.5 meters high.
