Description

Budgens, located at 18 North Street, is a building from the 18th century featuring a plastered front that is supported by an earlier timber frame. It has an old red tile hipped roof and stands three storeys tall with three windows. The windows are 18th-century sashes, with the outer ones on the first floor being triple-hung. There is a band above the first floor and a plain parapet at the top. A near lifesize plaster statue of a deer is positioned over the centre of the modern shop front. Inside, some timbers are exposed. This building is included for its group value.
