Description

Savill and Son is a late 18th century building with a stucco front, originally a 17th century timber-framed house, topped with an old red tile roof. It stands two and a half storeys tall. The first floor features two 19th century canted window bays, with pilasters at either end of the elevation. There is a modillioned cornice and a pediment that includes a round-headed window in the tympanum. The ground floor has been modernized for shop use. Inside, the upper floors reveal the exposed timber frame. This building is included for its group value.
