Description

No. 31 Cambridge Road is a house dated 1797, as indicated by the wall plaque above the door. It is constructed of grey and yellow brick with an old red tile roof. This two-storey house is part of a row of similar houses that have since been altered. Notable features include dentilled brick eaves courses and segmental brick arches above the door, which is located on the right, and the two windows, one on each floor. The windows are two-light flush wooden casements. The small rectangular date plaque has a raised surround. This house is of special interest as it provides a date for the group of contemporary grey and yellow brick houses that define this small village.
