Description

This is a late 18th-century/early 19th-century farmhouse, built incorporating older elements – a pyramid stopped beam is visible in the kitchen at the northwest corner. The farmhouse is constructed of yellow brick with an old red tile roof. It has a double-pile plan with parallel pitched roofs and brick gable parapets at each end. The main south-facing elevation is two storeys high and three windows wide, with a slightly projecting central section featuring a front gable. It has recessed sash windows with 8/8 glazing panes. The first floor windows have flat gauged arches, while the ground floor windows have segmental arches. A six-panel moulded door is present, complete with a fanlight and glazed top panels. A blind window is on the right side, but two small, two-light casement windows with cast iron flush casements are found in the gable end of that room. Two chimneys are located on the mid wall. The rear elevation is similar in design to the front.
