Description
The Pigeon House at Rossway Home Farm is an early 19th-century structure that was rebuilt and relocated in 1994-1995. It is a timber-framed building set on a 20th-century brick plinth and is clad with white weatherboarding featuring roll-moulded lower board edges. The roof is hipped and covered with slate, topped by a large square weatherboarded cupola with a pyramidal slate roof and a large bulbous finial. This tall, two-storey building is square in plan, and the cupola contains two shelves with pigeon holes between them. There is a door with a fanlight in the upper part of the building. Originally, the Pigeon House was located in the south yard of Rossway Home Farm, facing the east entrance, before being re-erected and repaired at its current site.
