GREAT GADDESDEN GADDESDEN ROW TL 01 SW (South side) Jockey End 3/92 Barn at Six Tunnels Farm, - 20m to North of house

GV II

Barn. Early C17. Timber frame, walls and roof clad in corrugated sheeting but end gables dark weatherboarded. A tall 8-bays, double-barn facing N with surviving gabled N porch to 3rd bay from E. There was presumably another N porch to the 3rd bay from W end. Jowled posts, mid-height rails in-line, straight braces to wallplates, squint-butted scarf joints in wallplates, straight braces to tie-beams, clasped-purlin roof with straight wind-braces on inclined straight queen-post trusses.
