Description
This barn, located 40 meters north of Turner's Farmhouse, dates back to the 17th century. It is constructed from timber framing and is covered with weatherboarding, while the roof is clad in corrugated iron sheeting. The barn consists of three bays and features a central gabled porch on the south side. The oak frame is intact, with a middle rail at the gable ends, and both open trusses retain their original arched braces. The roof structure includes a lower row of butt purlins and an upper row of purlins that clasp diminished principal rafters, with arched wind-bracing between the purlins. Additionally, both open trusses have original struts extending from the tie beam to the principal rafter. There are later pantiled lean-to additions on the south side.
