Description

The West Barn at Street Farm is a barn dating from the 16th century, which was altered for use as an outhouse in the 19th century. It features a timber frame that is dark weatherboarded, with a steep red tile roof facing the road to the south, while the north side has brick infill. The barn is tall and consists of three bays, with a clasped-purlin roof supported by wind braces, and curved braces connecting the tie-beams to the wallplate. A former prison cell door has been re-used on the north side. This building is included for its group value.
