Description
The Hot Bread House is a building located at 94 and 96 High Street in Hoddesdon. It dates from the early 17th century and features a timber frame that was refronted in the early 18th century, with some alterations made over time. The structure is built of red brick and has an old tiled roof. It stands two storeys tall with two gabled attics. On the north side, there is an early 19th-century door that has a flat hood supported by curved double brackets, along with a moulded architrave and soffit. There is a floor band and two segmental-headed replacement sash windows on the first floor. The parapet and dormer windows have been renewed, and the ground floor has been modernized for use as a shop.
