Description
There is a granite oblong sarcophagus located about 25 meters north of the nave of the Parish Church of St Augustine. This sarcophagus features marbled bronze corner columns and a low pitched top adorned with a heavy, scrolled embossed cross, and it is dedicated to the Bosenquet family. Additionally, there are three late 18th century oblong gadrooned sarcophagi situated on the north-east and north-west sides of the west tower. On the north side of the pathway leading to the west door of the church, there is an unusual chest tomb, dating from around 1800, which has a wedge profile and is raised on a tall stepped base.
