Description
The Lodge to Langleys is a decorative cottage built in the mid-19th century. It features red brickwork and slate roofs, consisting of two parallel single-storey sections running north to south, with a return block at the north end and a lean-to on the south end. The building has wide overhanging eaves, pierced bargeboards, finials, and a stack with two angled square shafts joined at the heads.
On the north elevation, there is a semi-circular, centrally arched door with an open porch that includes a finial and bargeboards similar to those on the eaves. Flanking the door are two-light lattice casement windows, and similar windows can be found on the other elevations, all featuring rendered band surrounds. Additionally, there is an oculus in the northwest gable, which is filled with a cast-iron ventilator grill that has a radial pattern.
