Description
Kicking Dickey is a public house dating from the early 19th century. It features painted brick and render over brick, topped with a slate roof and parapeted gables. The building is two storeys high and has a central gabled parapet with a projecting open porch that includes an elliptical door opening. The porch is adorned with decorative pierced bargeboards and a gable finial, and the porch slates have shaped lower edges.
On the main elevation, there are four 2-light cast iron Gothick casement windows on each floor. At the eastern end, there is an entrance door to the domestic parts, which has vertical battens with arched tops. A similar but altered door serves as the entrance to the public house. The roof is punctuated by three large ridgeline stacks, each featuring two square attached diagonal shafts.
