Buttles is a house dating from the 17th century, constructed with a timber frame and plastered exterior, topped with a hipped roof made of red plain tiles. The building has two storeys and features gabled wings at the rear. The front has a two-window range with 20th-century casements and bow windows, along with a 20th-century gabled porch. A notable feature is the 17th-century red brick chimney stack.
