Description

The structure is a stone wall approximately 19.2 meters long, located at the Carnation Nursery and fronting the road. The wall features a lower section made of stone and an upper part constructed from flint and brick. It stands about 1.8 meters high. The stones used in the wall were originally part of the hospital of St Mary and St Leonard, which was situated on the adjacent site. These stones have been re-set in the wall and include seven sections of half octofoil responds from the 13th century, as well as two sections of circular columns.
