Description

Frogs Green Cottage is a 17th-century cottage that features a timber frame, weatherboarding, and render above. It has an asbestos half-hipped roof and is one storey with an attic. The cottage has a three-bay lobby-entry plan and includes a 19th-century vertically boarded door. There are three 3-light casement windows, and the front has a half-hipped roof with one raking dormer that also has a 3-light window. At the rear, there is a small 3-light casement on the left and a casement on each end wall. Inside, the cottage has jowled posts, a visible one-arch brace, and down braces. Many of the wall studs are later replacements. A large stepped stack features an inglenook, a vaulted bread oven, and a copper at the rear. The interior also includes a chamfered spine beam.
