Description
Cross Guns Cottage is a 17th-century cottage that was formerly two separate homes. It features a timber frame with lath and plaster infill and has a thatched half-hipped roof with a brick ridge stack. The cottage has a two-unit outshut plan and is one storey high with an attic, presenting a one-window range. The gable end facing the road has jowled posts. There is a ribbed door on the left, located in the outshut, which has a roof that slopes down to a height of one metre. The windows are 20th-century metal casements with leaded lights. The sides and rear of the cottage show exposed framing, also with jowled posts. The right side has a 20th-century rendered porch with a catslide roof and a door that faces the road. Both the left and right sides feature raked roof dormers. The interior has not been inspected.
