Description

The dovecote located to the east of Tiptofts is a square structure built from red brick in English bond, likely originating from the 17th century. It may have been rebuilt in the old style or significantly restored in the 18th or 19th century. The roof is tiled and features half hips and small gables. Inside, there are approximately 550 to 600 nesting boxes, making it a typical example of Essex dovecotes from this period.
