Description

Tipswains is a timber-framed and plastered building that likely dates back to the 15th century, although it has been altered in the 17th century and later. The building has two storeys and features a three-window range of modern casements with leaded lights. A modern gabled porch with a thatched roof extends from the front of the building. The east end of the structure was previously jettied but is now mostly obscured by a large external chimney stack. The roof is thatched. The front of the building used to display a modern date of 1663.
