Description

The barn located to the south of Hall Farmhouse is a large structure that has been converted for commercial use. It dates back to 1814, as indicated by a date panel featuring the initials J.B.S. The barn is constructed from red brick and has a roof made of 20th-century clay tiles and pantiles. The building has an L-shaped plan.

On the north elevation, there is a half hipped gable end for the north-south wing, which features pilasters with a dentilled cornice. The centre of this elevation has a recessed panel with a high round-arched head. The roof of this wing is also half hipped. To the north, behind this wing, there is a long east-west wing that adjoins a listed barn at its western end. The central section of this wing is obscured by a commercial addition. The barn has scattered windows, with segment-headed windows on the ground floor and loading doors and windows on the first floor. Some features are from the 19th century, while others are from the 20th century.

The east side elevation runs parallel to the road and is mostly blank, except for three 20th-century casement windows with two-by-three panes. At the southeast corner, where the wings meet, there are three cement-rendered secondary buttresses.
