Description

These are two houses, dating from the 19th century with early 20th-century window replacements. They are built of flint, cobbles, and brick, with thatched roofs; a red brick stack is centrally positioned. The houses have a rectangular plan. They are two storeys high. The front, facing south, has a central stack with the thatch of the western house (number 29) being higher than that of the eastern house (number 31). There are two simple boarded front doors. Number 29 has a simple wooden gabled porch. There are three ground floor windows on the front elevation, and three slated, ramped dormer windows, all dating from the early 20th century. These windows are casements with 4x2 panes of glazing bars. Number 31 has two windows across its front, and number 29 has one. The west-facing elevation is of brick with a wooden boarded gable painted to resemble timber studs. It has a single 19th-century segment-headed window and an early 20th-century casement window to match the style. A 19th-century two-light casement window is located in the attic.
