Description

These are two houses located on Lower Raven Lane in Ludlow, dating from the 18th century. They are constructed of brick with a plain tile roof and feature a central brick ridge stack. The houses have a two-unit plan, arranged over two storeys and an attic. The facade originally had a six-window arrangement. On the left-hand side, the upper storey has been rendered with roughcast and includes three 20th-century, three-light casement windows. To the right, there are three 20th-century, two-light casement windows set within segmental arches. A storey band runs across the facade. Three 20th-century gable dormers, each containing a casement window, are positioned in the attic. The entrances are located on the left: number 6 has a recessed 20th-century half-glazed door, and number 4 has a 20th-century oak, part-glazed panelled door with a simple flat hood, flanked by two-light casement windows under segmental arches. A string course runs along the entire facade. Inside number 4, there are exposed beams and a winder staircase with spat balusters.
