Description
This building, located at 21 Bell Lane in Ludlow, is a house dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It is constructed of stuccoed brick, with a Welsh slate roof on the front pitch and old plain tiles on the rear pitch and wing. The house has an L-shaped plan and stands three storeys tall, featuring a three-window range. The windows are late 19th-century 2/2 sashes set under cambered heads, with smaller 2/2 sashes above.
The central entrance consists of a 20th-century half-glazed panelled door with a blocked overlight, set within a panelled case. This entrance is topped by a moulded wood flat hood supported by plain consoles and pilasters. To either side of the entrance are late 19th-century 2/2 sashes under cambered heads.
To the right, there is a recessed wing that includes a 2/2 sash under a cambered head and a 20th-century altered sash above, along with a metal garage door under a cambered head. The wing facing Raven Lane features a three-light metal casement under a cambered head, with two 2-light metal casements above it. There is also a tripartite mullion and transom light with a casement, and a 20th-century entrance to the right, along with a brick end stack.
