Description
This is a house, now divided into two separate dwellings, with an early 18th-century facade built onto an older core structure. The walls are painted brick, supporting a timber frame, and have a Welsh slate roof. There are brick stacks at both ends of the building and one at the rear. The house extends to two storeys and has a cellar. The front has a three-window arrangement. The windows are 6/6 sash windows with wide bars, older glass panes, and broad, moulded frames. The eaves have a boarded soffit. The central left entrance to No. 5 features a 20th-century six-panel door within a chamfered door case, sheltered by a timber lintel, and is flanked by early 18th-century 6/6 sash windows. To the right is a blocked opening with a soldier arch, and another early 18th-century plank door leading to a passage for No. 6, sheltered by a simple flat hood supported on consoles. There is a decorative band marking the floor level. A fire mark, numbered 1824, is also present.
